Bringing “Real Love” to Students
in Elementary and Middle Schools

Launched with the warm support of Yoko Ono in June of 2021, the John Lennon Real Love Project public school songwriting program brings John’s Lennon’s music and most powerful message of peace and love to elementary and middle schools. 

After learning about John Lennon’s life, music and highest values, students write new lyrics to “Real Love” and record their own version of the song accompanied by John Lennon’s original vocal and piano track. We create a video chronicling the experience for each school which is posted for students to share on our John Lennon Tribute YouTube channel. 

To date Theatre Within has provided 30 JLRLP school programs with more planned for the future.
